The USS Myles C Fox DD 829 Association Inc is an organization based in Lafayette, Louisiana, that is dedicated to preserving the memory of the USS Myles C Fox and its crew. The USS Myles C Fox was a Gearing-class destroyer that served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1971. The ship was named after Myles C. The association was founded in 1997 by former crew members of the USS Myles C Fox, with the aim of fostering camaraderie among the crew and their families, and preserving the history of the ship. mother alligator on log with baby on back Easter 2024, went for a hike around Lake Martin and saw a lot of alligators. This is the mother alligator on the log with the babies from the other two shots adjacent in the photostream. There's one baby on her back in this shot.

Okay, so this was a seasonal lake, but they built the levee in 1952 to make it a year round lake. There were a lot of alligators at the lake, we walked around it today on Easter. The rookery is not accessible though, the raised wood trail to view the rookery is badly damaged.
