Longue Vue House and Gardens is a historic estate located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The property was originally built in 1939 by Edgar and Edith Stern, who commissioned the renowned architect William Wurster to design the house in the Modernist style.

The estate features a 22-room mansion that showcases a blend of art and architecture from different time periods. Visitors can explore the house and admire the original furnishings, art, and decorative objects that reflect the Sterns' passion for collecting.

The gardens at Longue Vue House are equally impressive, covering eight acres of land and featuring a variety of flora and fauna. The gardens were designed by Ellen Biddle Shipman, a prominent landscape architect of the early 20th century, and include a sunken garden, a rose garden, and a Japanese garden.

In addition to offering tours of the house and gardens, Longue Vue House and Gardens hosts a variety of educational programs and community events throughout the year. The estate is also available for private events, such as weddings and corporate functions.

Overall, Longue Vue House and Gardens is a unique and beautiful destination that offers visitors a glimpse into the history and culture of New Orleans.
