Secretariat soirée under a Main Street tent A party to celebrate the new Secretariat Park, statue, and mural on Main Street. The late Secretariat won the Triple Crown 50 years ago in 1973.
'Blessed are the peacemakers' "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." –Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5:9, New Testament, Bible A buddy was invited to this unusual scene to take photos for the local newspaper. I tagged along. A congregation of Kentucky Presbyterians gathered in the historical Cain Ridge meetinghouse. Their sermons, prayers, and thoughts were all focused on peace. A world at peace is no easy feat in a world of turmoil as evidenced by the terrorism of October 7th, 2023, and its subsequent war, which came just a couple of weeks after this local church gathering for peace.

Tour Eiffel à Paris (in America) Main Street, Paris, Kentucky, America Kentucky's tower in the small town of Paris is much smaller though. Oh, I forgot. There is yet another Eiffel Tower on The Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. Side, side note: I'm fixated on the French word tour for some reason. The French write tour for tower. Although I do not speak French, I suspect the French probably pronounce tour pretty close to tower. I see from my English dictionary that tower is a word borrowed from those former French invaders and administrators who introduced that civil concept to those uncivilized Brits 😉, from which the French, in turn, borrowed the word from Latin turris of the old Roman Empire.)
