The Fayette Circuit Court Portrait and Art Charitable Trust, located in Lexington, Kentucky, is an organization established by the Kentucky Supreme Court to promote the preservation and display of Kentucky's legal heritage. The trust works to collect and preserve portraits, documents, and artifacts that have served as symbols of the legal process and to further understanding of the unique history of Kentucky law. The trust also works to promote the appreciation of Kentucky's legal heritage through a variety of public outreach initiatives, such as educational programs, lectures, and exhibits.

The trust is managed by a nine-member board of trustees, appointed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Kentucky. The board is responsible for protecting and preserving all of the trust's assets and for developing and carrying out its mission. The trust holds a variety of items, including original artwork, photographs, documents, and artifacts, that have been donated or acquired from various sources. The trust also owns and maintains several portrait galleries, in which portraits of prominent Kentucky lawyers and judges, such as Chief Justice John Marshall, are displayed.

The trust also works to recognize and encourage the artistic talents of Kentucky students. Each year, the trust awards scholarships to students who demonstrate exemplary artistic or legal achievement. Additionally, the trust sponsors a variety of community outreach programs, such as free legal clinics, that are designed to provide access to legal resources for those in need.

In addition to its mission of preserving and displaying Kentucky's legal heritage, the Fayette Circuit Court Portrait and Art Charitable Trust also works to support the local art community by sponsoring exhibitions, lectures, and other programs. The trust works to promote the appreciation of art and to provide educational opportunities for those interested in the visual arts.
