The Bath County Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Owingsville, Kentucky. Founded in 1976, it is dedicated to preserving the history, heritage, and culture of Bath County. The Society operates the first museum in the county and two historic homes, the William Lytle Mansion and the Bath County Courthouse. The museum displays artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the county’s history.

The Society also promotes and engages in a variety of programs, activities, and events to preserve and share the history of Bath County. These include lectures, workshops, walking tours, exhibits, and educational programs. Additionally, the Society publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Bath County Historian, to keep members informed of its activities and upcoming events.

The Society is funded by donations, grants, and memberships. Membership is open to anyone interested in the history of Bath County and its people. The Society also accepts donations of artifacts, photographs, documents, and other items related to the county. All donations are tax deductible.
