Friends of the Fitchburg Furnace Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Irvine, Kentucky, that is dedicated to preserving the Fitchburg Iron Furnace, a historic site that dates back to the mid-1800s. The Fitchburg Iron Furnace is the only surviving iron furnace in the state of Kentucky. The organization works to protect the furnace and its surrounding grounds, as well as to promote public awareness of the site’s importance to the area’s history.
