The Kansas Statehouse Restoration Foundation in Topeka, KS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and restoring the historic state capitol and its grounds. The foundation was established in 1998 and is overseen by a volunteer board of directors.

The mission of the Kansas Statehouse Restoration Foundation is to protect, preserve, and restore the statehouse and its grounds for the enjoyment and education of generations to come. The organization works with the state government to raise funds to support the restoration and preservation efforts. In addition, the foundation provides educational programming about the history and heritage of the state capitol.

The Kansas Statehouse is a beautiful example of Second Empire architecture and is considered a National Historic Landmark. The building was completed in 1879 and is home to the Kansas state government. The foundation works with the state government and other partners to ensure the preservation and restoration of the statehouse.

The foundation has raised over $25 million in private and public donations to support the ongoing restoration of the statehouse. These funds have been used to restore the exterior of the building, the limestone carvings, and the grand staircase. In addition, the foundation has worked to preserve the gardens and grounds surrounding the statehouse.
