The Ballroom Stair The rear stair of the <a href="https://www.atchisonart.org/muchnicgallery" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Muchnic gallery</a> is a tiny spiral, with an almost vertical handrail, that rises three floors to the attic ballroom. It is forbidden to tread, but some windows meagerly light portions for the photographer. This confusing perspective best captured the spiral of the wall and ceiling, for me. Forgotten locomotors Purposefully placed, apparently forgotten, hopefully remembered.
Placescapes: Still spinning after 150 years (infrared) I was recently passing the Atchison, KS railroad bridge when it opened for an imminently passing barge. Said boat did not appear before I had to move on. A series of IR filtered images were taken then stitched into this panorama with Hugin. Utata's big project for 2021 is <a href="https://www.utata.org/bigprojects/utatascapes/announcement/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Utatascapes</a>: Places in the world or in the mind. Blue sky and water achieved by hue rotation in DXO Photolab 2 (in the HSL menu).
