The Auburn Preservation League (APL) was established in Auburn, Alabama in 1984 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of the city’s historic resources. APL works to promote the understanding and appreciation of Auburn’s architectural heritage and the cultural environment it creates.

APL is committed to protecting the architectural integrity of Auburn’s buildings and sites, highlighting their importance to the community, and providing educational opportunities for the public. Through its efforts, APL is helping to ensure that the city’s unique cultural and architectural heritage is maintained and appreciated.

APL works to acquire, restore, and preserve historic properties, as well as to advocate for the preservation and protection of historic buildings and sites in Auburn. APL also provides information to the public and educational programs on the history and architecture of Auburn. In addition, APL organizes lecture series, walking tours, and other events to promote historic preservation.

APL is supported by a diverse membership of passionate individuals and organizations, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations. APL also relies on volunteers who support the organization’s efforts to preserve and protect Auburn’s historic resources and educate the public about the city’s rich history and culture.
