EAA-Vintage Aircraft Association Chapter 16 The Flat Land FL in Olathe KS is a flying club dedicated to the preservation and restoration of vintage aircraft. The club was founded in 1982 and has since grown to include over 150 members from across the Kansas City area. The club meets monthly to discuss and plan activities related to the preservation and restoration of vintage aircraft. In addition to monthly meetings, the club also hosts an annual Fly-In and Campout at the Johnson County Executive Airport in Olathe. This event typically includes a fly-in breakfast, an airplane show, a swap meet, and a variety of vintage aircraft on display. The Flat Land FL is also involved in a number of other activities throughout the year including monthly fly-outs, rallies, and a variety of aviation-related classes. The club also holds an annual awards banquet to recognize members for their contributions to the club, their dedication to the preservation of vintage aircraft, and their commitment to the advancement of aviation.
