The blade is 148' long, 11.2' wide, and weighing 23,098#.  It was donated by MidAmerican Energy Co. and Siemens Energy, Inc. and was manufactured in Fort Madison Iowa.  The primary materials of construction are epoxy, fiberglass, balsa wood and paint, with no glued joints.

Each complete wind turbine has 3 blades and stands over 400' tall.  One turbine can power up to 700 residential homes.
