The Eastern Iowa Aquarium Association (EIAA) is a non-profit organization based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was founded in 1984 to promote the hobby of fish keeping and to provide a local support system for hobbyists. It is one of the largest aquarium clubs in Iowa, and it has members throughout Eastern Iowa, including Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Waterloo, and Dubuque. The EIAA is dedicated to educating the public on aquarium-related topics, as well as providing a forum for members to exchange information and socialize.
The EIAA holds monthly meetings at the Cedar Rapids Public Library, and occasional field trips, fish shows, and auctions. At the monthly meetings, members are able to share their experiences, discuss their tanks, and share ideas. The club also fosters a sense of community by organizing special events, such as fish and plant auctions, potluck dinners, and educational seminars.
The EIAA provides a wide range of services for its members, including fish and plant identification and advice, tank setup and maintenance, water testing and treatment, fish health, and breeding advice. The club also provides access to a wide variety of aquarium-related supplies, such as fish food, plants, and tank accessories.
The EIAA is open to anyone interested in the hobby of fish keeping, and welcomes new members. The club is committed to helping its members grow in the hobby and providing a safe and friendly environment for all.
