The Elias J Jacobi Historical Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Founded in 1998, the foundation is dedicated to preserving and restoring the historical legacy of Elias J Jacobi, an influential leader in the 19th century Indianapolis Jewish community.

Elias J Jacobi was born in 1825 and was a prominent figure in the early Indianapolis Jewish community. He was a successful businessman, philanthropist, and leader in the Jewish community. He founded the first Jewish congregation in Indianapolis in 1851 and was instrumental in the establishment of the city’s first Jewish cemetery. He was also the co-founder of the first Jewish newspaper in the state of Indiana.
