Lichtenberger House, North Street, New Harmony, IN Built in 1867, this Greek Revival-style I-house was once the home of the Lichtenberger family.  The house features a wooden clapboard-clad exterior, a five-bay front facade, six-over-six double-hung windows, a side-gable roof, a one-story gabled rear ell, a front door in the central bay of the first floor of the front facade with sidelights and a transom, and a Victorian front porch with stop-chamfered columns, a low-pitch gabled roof, and decorative brackets.  The building is a contributing structure in the New Harmony Historic District, designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1965, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966.

The Working Men's Institute is a historic library and museum located in New Harmony, Indiana. It was established in 1838 by William Maclure, a geologist and philanthropist who believed in the importance of education for all. The institute was primarily created to provide educational and cultural opportunities for the working-class men of the town.

The building itself is a beautiful example of Greek Revival architecture, with a large central hall and two smaller rooms on either side. The interior is filled with books, artifacts, and exhibits on a variety of topics, including history, science, literature, and art.
